The Rapunzel Festival in Legau, scheduled for September 21-22, 2024, marks a special celebration of Rapunzel’s 50th anniversary with a diverse program of events.
Among the highlights will be a lecture featuring Dr. Joachim Milz, a pioneer in Dynamic Agroforestry (DAF), and Safianu Moro from Serendipalm. They will share their experiences on how DAF is transforming agriculture, particularly in the context of cocoa and palm oil farming in countries like Ghana and Bolivia. This method, which promotes biodiversity and sustainable farming practices, helps farmers increase yields, improve soil health, and sequester carbon, making it a promising solution for mitigating climate change challenges in farming.
At the festival, ECOTOP will also host a booth where attendees can explore Dr. Milz’s 30-year-old DAF farm in Bolivia through an immersive VR experience. Everyone is invited to visit the booth and learn more about the successful implementation of DAF in various global contexts, including palm oil production at Serendipalm.
